Runners running for the Base Borden Run - Georgian International

BASE BORDEN RUN

BASE BORDEN RUN

GI on the run.

From the cannon used as the starter’s pistol to the dog-tag medals that participants receive when they cross the finish line, the Base Borden Run is unlike any other.  By joining forces with Georgian College, the local Home Builders’ Associations and the Canadian Forces Base Borden, GI helped create Simcoe County’s fastest growing running event that is uniquely “military” from start to finish.

Hosted on the scenic grounds and training facilities of Canadian Forces Base Borden, participants engage in a challenging, chip-timed course on varying terrain where one can walk, run or roll in a 5km, 10km or half marathon event. Proceeds from this event go to support another initiative inspired by Georgian International – Operation Hero – an endowed scholarship program at Georgian College to support Canadian military families in their pursuit of higher education.
